Information about COVID-19

  • COVID-19 spread from person to person

  • stay 6 feet apart

  • Recent studies suggest that the coronavirus can spread through people who do not show any symptoms

  • The infection rate is still uncertain

  • The virus can be spread through coughing and sneezing as well as touching something that contains the virus

  • The coronavirus can stay on surfaces for several hours

  • Since many teens are still getting deliveries, it is important for teens to know that the virus can stay on cardboard for up to 24 hours

How to Keep Yourself Clean and Healthy

  • Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds

  • If you haven’t washed your hands, don’t touch your eyes, mouth, or nose

  • If you use hand sanitizer, the hand sanitizer should contain 60% or more alcohol

  • Social distancing is crucial! Stay at home as much as you can

  • If you must go outside for necessities, cover your mouth and nose area with a face mask made of cloth.

  • The face mask is not an excuse to be closer to anyone, remember to always stay 6 feet apart

  • Clean objects and surfaces that you use frequently

  • Phones, computers, tables, ect.

COVID-19 Statistics in Maryland

Though Maryland’s statistics show that children, teens, and young adults have fewer cases, this is not an excuse to have any gatherings. Though it may be tempting to see close friends, please think about those who are at a higher risk that are close around. Those above the age of 30 have significantly more confirmed cases and statistics show confirmed deaths for those over 50. Please, keep on social distancing; each and every one of us must ensure the safety of not only our family, but the entire public.
